M/S Victoria

M/S Victoria, also called the Canal Queen, was built at Akers Mekaniske Verksted in Oslo and was given construction number 93 when the ship was launched on 11 February 1882. Since then, the ship has sailed through locks and over water on the Telemark Canal. On board the M/S Victoria, you can relax your shoulders and enjoy the wonderful scenery from the orchestra seat on the deck of the Canal Queen, who knows every lock and every little cove on the 105 km long Telemark Canal from Skien to Dalen.

You can enjoy good food and drink from the ship's own restaurant, while she slowly sails past old locks with fine stone walls, the original cast iron devices for maneuvering the lock gates, old lock keeper's residences, guardhouses, beautiful parks and old wharves.

M/S Victoria sails daily on the Telemark Canal between Skien and Dalen during the summer season.

The ship, which is named after the then Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden - Norway, was converted to a motor ship in 1953 and has been the subject of several conversions over the years.
The ship has 2 lounges below deck, a large outdoor deck at the front up on the ship and 1 large outdoor deck under roof aft.

It is possible to charter M/S Victoria outside the regular timetable.
M/S Victoria is certified for 180 people.
