Afternoon half-day tour: Ulefoss - Lunde - Ulefoss (bus first)
Our most compact tour! If you want to experience the locks in the Telemark Canal without spending the whole day, then this is the tour for you. The canal ship sails from Lunde lock and down into the canal landscape to Ulefoss locks. Along the way, you will also experience Vrangfoss locks, which is the largest lock facility in the Telemark Canal. The trip starts with our comfortable canal bus from Ulefoss to Lunde.
Itinerary:
M/S Victoria or M/S Henrik Ibsen:
- Kl. 12.05 meeting at Ulefoss locks bus stop, approx. 100 meters before Ulefoss locks.
- Kl. 12.22 departure by canal bus from Ulefoss locks bus stop.
- Kl. 12.50 arrival at Lunde lock.
- Kl. 13.20 departure with M/S Victoria or M/S Henrik Ibsen from Lunde lock.
- Kl. 15.20 arrival at Ulefoss locks.
Practical information about the canal cruise:
Parking: The car can be parked for free in the parking lot at Ulefoss locks. It is located approx. 200 meters from before the lock when you come from the center of Ulefoss. The parking lot is marked with a P symbol and the symbol for the Telemark Canal (a boat in a lock). From the parking lot it is approx. 100 meters to walk before you reach the bus stop.
Dining on board: There is a restaurant on board M/S Victoria and M/S Henrik Ibsen. It is possible to order lunch together with the tickets.
It is also possible to buy food from the menu on board, without pre-ordering. We recommend that you pre-book refreshments on board if you book for 10 people or more. It is not possible to pre-book a fixed table during the entire journey, and it is not allowed to bring food on board.
Bus: There is a tour bus that runs this route and it is only intended for our guests. The bus stops approx. 100 meters from Ulefoss locks, and stops approx. 200 meters from Lunde lock. The bus cannot bring dogs on board, with the exception of guide dogs.
